The two were spotted out at CC Sabathia’s 30th birthday bash at New York’s 40/40 Club. The uber exclusve party was the perfect portunity for the duo to play ’stranger’ all night. Spies say they made sure they were never seen armand arm, and exchanged flirty glances most of the night. Jigga and Bey were there along with other Yanks Derek Jeeter, Nick Swisher and Jorge Posada. Ultimate NY fan Spike Lee was also there.

Ummm, the “real” Lil Kim? WTF??? Who are you Kimberly Jones?? Now, I’m gonna keep it real. Even though you may not want to admit it, there are A Lot of us out there, that might have a little work done if we could afford it. But after this recent drama with Tameka Foster and of course Kanye’s Mom, many of us came to our senses and said-never mind. Then there’s Lil Miss Lil Kim. Oh Kim, Kimmy, Kimberly. Your face doesn’t move anymore. Why do you go this far? Why? Let me say this– I’m all for changing one’s image. A star who reinvents themself ah-la Janet, and Madonna will indeed have longevity in the entertainment biz. But Kimmy- you are a completly different person. Circa 1996 when Hardcore dropped, every guy I knew was checking for you. Your CD poster was everywhere. And WTF with this new Paris Hilton accent– again, no problem if you want to sound more proper– but come on now– really?? I’m done. Girl bye.

Usher says he’s sorry

Yo! Raps reports Usher is sorry for his comments he made about Chris Brown which appeared in a video by Jermaine Dupri’s video series Living The Life.
“The comments made during a recent recording session amongst friends were taken out of context and blown out of proportion,” the statement reads. “I apologize on behalf of myself and my friends if anyone was offended. The intentions were not to pass judgment and we meant no harm. I respect and wish the best for all parties involved.” Singer/songwriter Johnta Austin also appears on the video. And they also went out of their way to joke Christina Milian’s new blonde do-harsh.

Trying to move on

Rihanna was photograped getting some R&R on a beach down in Mexico this week. I swear she could be hiding out in a himilayan hut, and a paparazzi will still find her. Meanwhile, Rihanna’s trip south of the border makes some wonder if she’s actually going to press charges against Chris Brown. Though she’s expected in court on March 5th for a hearing in the case, prosecutors might have a hard time pursuing a case without her. A new “job” for Octomom

Super porn company Vivid Entertainment is now offering Nadya Suleman some help in getting her bills paid. The company says it will pay her 1 million bucks to star in an adult filmown. If she becomes a full time staffer– the company will take care of the families full medical and dental insurance. I know the woman may have a few issues, but come on now.

Mr. Carter goes to court

Hold the tour bus, Lil’ Wayne will be standing trial for gun charges. A NY judge has ruled that Weezy’s trial will begin in April. Last July Wayne’s tour bus was raided by police after officers said the smelled weed on the bus, as they entered the vehicle; they allegedly spotted Wayne trying to hide a handgun under one of the seats. If convicted, Lil’ Wayne faces up to 15 years behind bars. Jury selection for the trial is expected to being in several weeks. In other Wayne news, his upcoming rock CD Rebirth release date has been pushed back from April 7th to May 19th.

Bookmaker.com is now taking bets on whether Chris Brown actually does jail time for his alleged assault on Rihanna. So far the odds increased when TMZ released the pictures of a beat down Rihanna. I don’t he’ll be serving any jail time, Rihanna won’t be pressing charges– just watch. By the way, Chris is now taking anger management classes.

As Chris Brown tries to win back Rihanna, word today that Jigga man has assigned his personal security team to guard the island pop princess. Jay-Z has his team keeping a watch over Rihanna, guarding her from angry CB fand and maybe even Chris Brown as well.

Custody battle

Real Housewives of Atlanta star Lisa Wu-Hartwell has filed for full custody of her two sons with ex-husband Keith Sweat. Lisa who has said her former marriage ended after abuse, lost custody of her sons in 2003. Keith Sweat, meanwhile refused to allow thier sons appear on the reality show. If she does get custody, Lisa is also seeking child support. Real Housewives of Atlanta began shooting its second season this week.

Hungry for a Burger? New York rapper N.O.R.E. was arrested in Miami Beach on Sunday afternoon after punching a man in the face and throwing a cup of yellow liquid on him, according to police. Victor Santiago, who also goes by the stage names N.O.R.E. or Noreaga, was arrested by Miami Beach police after he got into a fight with a man at Fatburger, a South Beach restaurant at 947 Washington Ave., police said. According to the police report, Santiago and three other men walked into Fatburger yelling. On their way in, the rapper ripped one of the restaurant’s flower bouquets out of its place. Santiago then offered a man a cup of yellow liquid — when the man refused, Santiago threw it at him. ”Do you know who I am?” Santiago yelled, according to the report. The rapper then punched the man in the face three times, police said. When Miami Beach police officers arrived, they saw the four men running out of the restaurant — all were put in custody.

Police charged Santiago with simple battery and disorderly conduct in a licensed establishment. Miami Herald

Lights, camera, action.It’s all about the Oscars this morning. And last night the big winner was the little movie that could– Slumdog Millionaire.

This movie is indeed amazing and deserves all the props. The film was awarded the Best Picture trophy. An amazing moment for the huge and vastly unknown cast. It was great to see the all the actors who played Jamal, Latika, and Samir. There was some controversy about the children who are in the film, it was rumored that the smaller children were not paid for their work. The films producers say the children who actually live in the Mumbai slums were given trust funds.
A very solemn moment when Heath Ledger was awarded the Best supporting actor award for his role as the Joker in the Dark Knight.

The trophy was accepted by Heath’s parents and sister.

Tariji P. Henson didn’t win an Oscar, but she did kill the red carpet in a tiered Ivory Roberto Cavalli Gown…

I actually liked Viola Davis in her Soild Gold Barbie gown. Just kidding, her gown is by Reem Acra. And I really do like.

Beyonce performed a Broadway medley with the ceremony’s host Hugh Jackman, great performance—her dress however was another story—she wore a Black and Gold gown by her House of Dereon fashion line. Not-loving-it.

Halle also wore Black and Gold… Her beaded Marchesa gown was stunning.

Alicia Keys wore a pretty lavendar Armani Chaffon Gown—but wtf’s up with the wig??

Jennifer Aniston wore a lovely cream beaded Valentino gown…

Jenn’s nemisis Angelina Jolie sported a black Elie Saab Coutre gown, and some major emerald earrings.

Loved Natalie Portman in her Pink Rodart gown. This may be my fav… And I think I could fit it–soooo Nat– hit a siter up with the hand-me-downs.

T-Pain cancells a show due to threats

T-Pain has canceled a concert in Guyana after receiving what a promoter calls “credible death and kidnapping threats.” Kerwin Bollers says Monday’s performance for Carnival celebrations was called off after e-mail and phone threats from an unidentified source. Police Commander Leroy Bollers reporters Sunday that authorities will investigate.

J.Hud fans unite

Jen’s coming to the 757 in April. Jennifer Hudson and Robin Thicke are headlining a tour together kicking off on March 31st in Albany N.Y. They’ll be performing at Chrysler Hall on April 12th, and they’ll be in Richmond at the Landmark Theatre on April 19th.

Good news

Tameka Raymond is out of the hospital in Brazil. Usher’s wife was sent home Monday night. Tameka suffered cardiac arrest while being put under before having what the doctor’s rep says would have been a “simple liposuction.” The doctor’s office says Raymond was revived in less than a minute with heart massage and was put in an induced coma before being admitted to the ICU. Now I’m hearing that Usher may not have known that Tameka was even having the procedure done in the first place.

Look at who could be home soon. After being locked up for the past 8 years, Shyne could be released on parole by the spring or summer at the latest. Will Diddy throw him a welcome home party?

Lucky fish. Maybe Tracy Morgan’s fish smoke too. He says a fire in his apartment started inside of his fish’s aquarium. Morgan says a bad
light in the fish tank apparently sparked the fire in his Manhattan
apartment. No one was hurt, not even the fish.

A statement

Well, if you’ve been waiting to hear what Chris has to say in reguards to the situation with Rihanna—here it goes. And sorry it’s not a denial.

“Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired. I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God’s help, to emerging a better person. Much of what has been speculated or reported on blogs and/or reported in the media is wrong. While I would like to be able to talk about this more, until the legal issues are resolved, this is all I can say except that I have not written any messages or made any posts to Facebook, on blogs or any place else. Those posts or writing under my name are frauds.”

Tonight, M-T-V airs Chris Brown and Rihanna: A Love in Trouble at 6:00. According to the network, the 30-minute special will feature “journalists and industry professionals — as well as an in-studio audience of young fans — to provide insight and commentary about what the incident means for both artists’ careers and lives, and society in general.”

Congrats

M.I.A. gave birth to a baby boy last week. The Grammy-winning artist, who was set to pop during her performance at the 51st annual awards last Sunday, reveals she actually went into labor after the show. Lil M.I.A. was born on Wednesday.
