However, serious topics also took center stage as Pavar promotes awareness of key issues affecting listeners such as the upcoming presidential election, AIDS awareness, and domestic abuse.
Born January 12 in Brooklyn, New York, Pavar knew early in life that she wanted to work in the media. As a small child, she loved to watch the news broadcasts, fascinated by the news anchors. Determined to make it in the business, she took every opportunity to hone her media talent beginning in the 5th grade where she read the school's morning news announcements. In high school, Pavar continued her chosen path becoming Editor of the Granby High School newspaper, Teen Correspondent for the Virginian Pilot, and again reading school announcements every morning.
With her growing television experience, Pavar headed to Lynchburg College in Virginia. There she balanced classes while being an Anchor/Reporter for the school's television news magazine "Eye on LC†and interning at WSET, a local Lynchburg radio station.
After earning a Bachelor's of Arts in Communication, Pavar landed a job as Research/Board Operator for Sinclair Telecable WROX-96X/WROC- The Coast. During her time at Sinclair she was promoted to News Producer and eventually became a Liaison Producer at WAVY News 10 for WNIS and WTAR.
Realizing she needed to move on to move up, in 2002 she headed to Clear Channel Communications as a Traffic Reporter/Producer and two years later became an On-Air Personality/Producer for the Boodah Brothers Morning Show, WOWI, which has been her home ever since. Aside from being Boodah Sista #1, she writes and anchors newscasts and entertainment reports, leads discussions with guests and listeners, voices and produces commercials and live reads, hosts radio station and community events, and maintains an online blog generating 13,000 monthly hits.
With over ten years of radio and television experience, Pavar has been involved in a multitude of projects and events and interviewed a vast array of politicians, celebrities, musicians, writers, and comedians. Everyone from Barack Obama, Jay-Z, Mary J. Blige, Diddy, Russell Simmons, Tyra Banks, and more!

She was a guest on WAVY TV's "Kid Talk" and the CW 27's "Here and Now" and hosted WSKY's coverage of the Azalea Festival Parade of Nations, WVEC 13 News, FOX 43 and The CW 27's America's Next Top Model Preview.
Pavar was a panelist on BET's "Rap it Up†open forum discussion at Booker T. Washington High School in Norfolk, Virginia, and the 2006 Young Black Professional Symposium in Norfolk, Virginia. She is also a news columnist and music reviewer for the Virginia Pilot and a voice over talent for Studio Center, an agency that provides voice talent for companies around the country.
Pavar is also an active member of her community, devoting her downtime to speaking at local schools, hosting charity events, and calling attention to local issues by covering hot topics during the Boodah Brothers Morning Show. Most recently, as part of the morning team, she raised funds for the Norfolk Ronald McDonald House during a seven-city tour.
She spends the majority of her time as Communications Director and spokesperson for Youth Against Drugs and Diseases (YADAD), a local youth organization strongly committed to preventing teens from becoming exposed to the dangers of substance abuse, violence, and diseases.
Pavar has made some major steps toward her ultimate goal of having a nationally syndicated radio show and owning a media empire combining radio, television, and print. And she's only just begun!
